Pilates Mat with Props
Clients will learn and incorporate Five Basic Principals of the Stott Pilates method while introducing the essential exercises done on the mat. As essential level exercised are mastered, intermediate level will be worked into the class. Some small props will be utilized as needed to modify exercises based on the client's needs, as well as add intensity as the client progresses in the mastery of the exercises. You will strengthen your core, gain flexibility, balance, overall strength and improve muscle function. Loved by millions for the mind-body connection, this class uses imagery and concentration to connect into the correct musculature being engaged to gain the most benefits.
Group Reformer I
Ability to incorporate the basic principals of pilates required before taking reformer classes. Fundamental Pilates is a prerequisite if you have no pilates experience. This class will introduce the client to the reformer and covers essential level exercises.
Ability to incorporate the basic principals of pilates required before taking circuit classes. You will rotate from the reformer, the cadillac, the ladder barrel, the stability chair, the spine corrector and the arc barrel in this fun small group class. Circuit is ideal for the client looking to add variety and fun to their workout while targeting all muscle groups with different apparatus.
Group Reformer II
Prerequisite is Refomer 1 or prior working knowledge of the essential level exercises performed on the reformer. This class will cover intermediate and advanced exercises.
A fun twist on traditional Pilates Reformer class! Get your cardio on by horizontal jumping while also getting an all encompassing body challenge like no other on the reformer!
TRX Cardio Blast
Take the intensity of TRX Body Blast and add blasts of cardio and you have the TRX Cardio Blast! This fast paced workout is sure to challenge you with timed strength rounds mixed with blasts of intense cardio that is sure to get your heart pumping while you muscle through the reps at your own pace. Music selected specifically to keep your BPM high will keep you motivated!
TRX Body Blast
Training driven by the beat of music! TRX Body Blast is a strength focused class, which is based on reps, tempo and form. Body Blast engages all your muscles with this non-stop TRX workout. Build overall strength, balance and flexibility with this total-body program!
Get a break from the tension of your day in this 45 minute lunch time class. Blending yoga postures with the TRX Suspension Trainer both enhances and if needed, modifies the intensity of your workout. Designed to get you in and out over lunch and will let your mind and body release the stress that has built up during the week. Synchronize breath with movement while utilizing the TRX in this Vinyasa Flow/Strength class. Break down tension and increase mobility while igniting your core through postures in a slow breath controlled pace.
High-energy and dynamic, Total Barre integrates elements of Pilates, dance, cardio & strength training.
Total Barre emphasizes the correct biomechanics of movement combined with the power of music to increase strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability. It is a program geared for everyone—no dance experience required.
yoga in the park (side cut metropark)
This is a favorite and is held every summer for 12 weeks on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Experience a yoga class in a way that will leave you renewed, refreshed and refocused after taking in the amazing sights, smells and the feel of outdoor yoga. Look for the sign at the entrance of the Silver Lake Area of Side Cut park. Pre-payment is required for this class due to park regulations.
ALL LEVEL VINYASA FLOW
Appropriate for beginners through experienced students. Students will build strength, flexibility and concentration while cleansing the body and calming the mind. Options and modifications are offered so the pose can work for you. More challenging poses and breathing techniques (yoga pranayama) may be offered with instructions to assist you.
Mommy and me yoga
Mommy and Me Yoga is designed for moms and children ages 2-6 and is a creative approach to bond through exercises with your child. Have fun learning yoga poses, breathing techniques, partner exercises and body awareness activities. Come and enjoy and OHM-AZING time! Depending on the maturity of the child, parent involvement during the class is optional. We have a waiting area you are welcome to remain in. $15 for you and your 1st child. Additional children, $5.
A yoga class designed for tweens, ages 9 -12. Yoga provides kids with essential life tools such as self-esteem and confidence, inner and outer strength, attention and concentration, and heightened awareness of both oneself and others. Each class will provide a different theme, active poses, balance work and relaxation. Tweens are able to practice these techniques in a safe and non-competitive environment."
A high intensity 45 minute workout combining timed rounds of cardio and strength training taught in a small class format. 6 person max per class. This class will keep your metabolism pumping for hours after you leave the studio!
CORE - The Class
A 45 minute class with focus on strengthening the collective core muscles, improving posture, alleviating lower back pain and bringing awareness to how your power house works! BOSU, Fitness circle, kettle bells, medicine balls and STABILITY balls (just to name a few!) are intermixed throughout class!
From strengthening the key muscles of the lower body (glutes, hamstrings and quads) to challenging the muscles of the core and upper body (back, shoulders, forearms, triceps and biceps), kettlebells truly are a highly effective training tool for improving total-body strength.
An amazing class for your cardiovascular fitness as well as keeping those legs in shape with a workout that will have you pedaling through hill climbs, sprints plus many other intervals! Bring your towel, bring your water and bring your energy for this fun and calorie torching class!
CYCED UP CORE!
All the benefits of an indoor cycling, PLUS a core intensive section to target the mid section! Cardiovascular workout on the bike for 45 minutes then hit the mat for abdominal focus for the last 10 minutes of class. WIN/WIN!
